.
Every now and then, we come to this place where things just aren’t working. I don’t mean things as in the washing machine breaks town (that of course would be utter tragedy folks), but things as in the whole way of going about something. I don’t know about you, but in my case I don’t catch on right away (or pretend not to?) and just kinda coast along for a bit continuing to do things as I have and wondering why it isn’t working. Who was it that said you cannot continue to do things the exact same way you have always done them, and expect different results to just start happening? That was a wise being. Or at least a being who had a wise moment, whether he or she knew it or not.
So, I am at “that place” where things just aren’t working. A couple of things happened last night: the realization set in of the big not working picture (which had emotions like frustration and being overwhelmed running kinda rampant), then I stumbled onto this concept that I think is exactly what I need. I’d say last night ranked pretty high on the “aha moments” list… for me anyway.
That place. That place is my place. Want to come over and have coffee and doughnuts? Except that I don’t drink coffee and doughnuts are not even remotely healthy. I rarely, almost never, eat doughnuts anymore (haven’t really in almost forever), but I do having eating habits that are… well… somewhat less than healthy. Not having as healthy of eating habits as I would really like is one of those things that just isn’t working. But, I can’t stop there. Honey, I have a laundry list of things that are not working right now, but I have this feeling that is all about to change.
I’ll be sharing more about this whole thing, but for now I still need to process it. And make a plan with this new concept in mind. And process that. Because now I am in that place where you know you’ve just stumbled across something really great (as simple as the idea actually is) and that it could really work for you. Or me in this case.

Christy,
I am a new reader to your beautiful blog. But I want you to know I feel like I have been going through similar things on my side of the screen also. New adventures and mid-course corrections can be scary, but are very exciting also. Especially with God leading the way.
Blessings,
Laurel
