I can’t believe this is my first Tackle It Tuesday on my new blog! I started posting regular here around the middle of July, but I guess I had been so busy with other stuff going on, it didn’t occur to me that each missed week was really adding up. Hi!! I’m here now!!
My tackle this week isn’t about housework, though let me tell you – it is in some serious need of a tackle! Maybe I can kick it into gear and post about THAT tackle next week.
If you have been following along with my blog, I’m sure you already know, because I have been blogging about it! If you are visiting via the 5 Minutes For Mom Tackle It Tuesday meme, here’s the scoop:
I have started a new segment on my blog to correspond to a new segment in our life: Preschool At Home. I am so excited! Our little guy is only 2, but there is this perfect preschool preparatory curriculum online. And it is FREE. Hello. Gotta love that! We are starting it this week – today actually! We were supposed to start yesterday, but hey, things happen.
If you have a 2-4 year old and are interested in doing something like this too, here’s a few links:
Preschool At Home – The new segment here at Shake The Salt where I will be blogging about it every week (sometimes more!).
Preschool Preparatory Curriculum – This is the curriculum we are using courtesy of Letter Of The Week.
Calendar – Weeks one through four. It is dated to start week one 9/7, so you can jump in right away or you can remove the month & dates and start when you are ready. I plan to include undated calendars later on & will be adding new weeks when we reach that point.
BTW, I have a pretty cool giveaway coming up later this morning that you might want to check out. And just for fun, answer some random questions.
Thank you for visiting the original Shake The Salt!!

That sounds great! I didn’t know there was such a thing for preschoolers. I have 15 month old twins, still a bit young. But I think I will get on board with the preschool at home idea next year! I have already decorated their playroom AS IF it is a classroom. It must have been fate:)

What a great tackle! I am in awe of people who can homeschool. My youngest started 4k this year and we are doing support activities at home. This week is the letter A:-)
What a great idea to do preschool at home. I think it would be fun. Good luck and have fun bonding.
Hi, I found you through 123 get organized site. I am so excited about this preschool link. I have a three year old not ready to got o preschool but desparately needs something. Well I tried something at home but it never really worked. I guess because I didn’t really have a schedule or curriculum. And that site gives me all of that and it’s FREE!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so much. I think this was a sign that I did a really good thing by starting to go to church this past week. Thank you again. I can;t wait to get started with my little one next week!
