I’m here!!  I’ve been very busy lately and our entire household is sick. I’ve managed to post a little on the blog here and there, but not what I would have liked.  I’m playing around with some ideas on the direction I want the blog to go, as it has felt a little too “choppy” sometimes.

A big thing for the blog that I have been working on is the Holiday Gift Guide and I am hoping the set-up will be a great asset to getting some shopping done without wasting lots of time.  I’m anticipating that to be published the final week of this month, to allow time to do the shopping and get the items in time for Christmas and other Holidays (great for winter birthdays too).  I’ve had a lot of great items come in & they are still arriving, so I cannot wait to share this with y’all. And yes, there will be giveaways sprinkled throughout.  J  Check out the left sidebar for the list of companies that will be featured. {I still have a few more to add}.

Another project I have been working on is Simply Sensational Divas Review. Hop over and check that out.  You will find seven wonderful ladies over there (well, six, then there’s me! LOL!). The main focus is book reviews, but there will be product reviews from time to time as well.  It is a new venture, so please let me know what ya think!  If you have any room on your reader or in email, I’d think it was super if you wanted to sub to the feed over there… it is looking pretty sad like with only 1 reader.

Our entire household is sick right now and it is miserable!  I was sick, then “B” got sick and seemed to kinda hang onto it, or maybe the sickness itself changed and got something back to back (?), a few nights ago, Hubs got hit with it, then the night before last it hit me hard.  And all of this is after coming off the chicken pox “B” had about a month ago.

Do you have any suggestions for helping a sick two year old feel better? Due to his age, and he’s a light-weight, my options are really limited. I give him Infants Tylenol and Infants Motrin when he’s especially warm, but I don’t want to keep him with meds in his system all the time (and there is nothing he can take for the cold anyway that I know of and that is safe – remember all the infant “cold” meds were pulled – and for good reason).  I’m trying some things, but would love to hear your ideas.  And if you have any home remedies for me too – the throat is hurting and all the sinus passages in my face and head are whacked.  Best medical terminology I could muster that accurately describes it!  Pardon the yuck factor, but it won’t drain.  Anyhoo… any suggestions, no matter how simple… if you know any home remedies, etc… any ideas at all, I’m open.

OK, I started this blog post to mention a couple of things and dang… it’s like 27 pages long already. Hushing now.  J

When my son or us gets sick…we have a soaking foot party. Put hot water as hot as the little one can stand in a dishpan…put in a heaping tbsp of powdered Ginger. Then sit and read books while soaking feet! Add more hot water as needed to keep it hot.The ginger pulls the sick toxins out through the feet! Give him chewable vitamin c kids think it is candy! Hope you all soon feel better!

We are still waiting on the win we won from you on Aug. 30th! http://shakethesalt.com/2008/08/winner-ez-school-supplies/ I understand you all have been sick and busy so we will keep on waiting!
