Working The To Do List

 

I have so much to do & no motivation to do it. NOT my most favorable combination, mind you!  I’ve been playing with the little guy & finding old friends on Facebook.  Lots of fun, but it isn’t getting things done, that’s for sure.  Here is what is on my plate today that I hope to start getting knocked out:

 

Tackle It Tuesday – CLR sponsored this week’s Tackle It Tuesday meme at 5 Minutes For Mom (thanks for the free bottle of cleaner!) and I need to take an “after” picture, write it up, and get it posted.

 

Holiday Gift Guide – Time is sneaking by me at amazing speeds, so if I want to keep to my original goal of getting it posted next week, I need to buckle down and get it done. So many amazing gift items were submitted – be sure you check it out next week! And, yes, there will be prizes to win. That’s how I roll.  :p

 

Dinner – At this point in time, I have no idea what we are eating for dinner.  Since hubs is working (turns out to be a 60 hr “shift” – yikes!), we will probably keep it pretty simple (basically it is what seems like cooking for one + two bites, lol). Must raid kitchen to see what will be on tonight’s menu.

 

The House –  it has informed me that it would like to be cleaned, laundry done, all that great stuff.  Def not on my fun list.  J

 

Email – I am swamped by it & most is stuff I need to act on. I think I’ve archived most that I could right away (I love Gmail!).

 

Plane Tickets – I need to check prices and order the plane tickets today for our December trip to Utah!  I can’t wait for B to play in the snow!!

 

CVS Deals – I had an amazing trip to CVS yesterday and saved tons. I need to get a picture of the goods and post the info. A great stock up day.

 

Haircut! – B. got a haircut yesterday (it was seriously, embarrassingly overdue). “Daddy” took him while I went to CVS sans child.  J  It is a new place that caters to kidlets, which is awesome because our past experiences with getting his haircut have not been overly pleasant. He got to sit in a “police car” chair (though, between you and me I’m sure he would have preferred the fire truck or a racecar. Just saying.) He watched cartoons during the haircut (PBS Sprout) and he played on the slide while he was waiting his turn. {Need to post the pics}

 

OK, I think that covers what I’d like to get done today. May I please have 48 hours today? Mkay thx.

 

A couple of things that I know won’t make it today, but I do need to do soon:

 

Stockpile – I straightened up the stockpile closet the other day and took some pics that I need to post. It is so easy to start stockpiling, can save you TONS of money and is actually fun. (Seriously, the frugal shopping thing is like a game to me. I love it!)

 

Reviews & Giveaways – I have several lined up that I need to get posted, so I’m really hoping to tackle that later this week.

 

OH! OH! OH!

 

Before I forget (give me five minutes and surely I will!), I am working on yet another new blog.  (You are loving the great stuff at Simply Sensational Divas Review, right? You have been over there to check it out, right?).  No details on the new blog yet… I purchased the domain, installed WordPress, and well, nothing else.  J  I hope to work on it after the gift guide is published & I’m certain you’ll love it as much as I already do! I’m so excited about this new project. Stay tuned. 

 

So.. there you have it… stuff I really need to be doing… but not.  Going to change a diaper (we really need to get on the potty training business!), make lunch, put B down for a nap, and settle in for some work at the computer. Work, not play. Even though play is so much more fun. I. Must. Get. Stuff. Done. Must.  J
