Hi there! Busy day today, so this is a little late getting posted. I’ll make it up to ya though with a little giveaway. Read on for details. J
How was your week? Did you remember to take some time to do something special for yourself (read a book, get your nails done, relax)?
This past week, I took a small step to fight the frump, courtesy of a little dab of lip gloss. I got a sweet little package a few days ago and inside were a couple of tubes of Skinn by Dimitri James Wet Lips Super Shine lip gloss. I have to admit, when I’m just hanging around the house (and as a stay-at-home / work-at-home mom I do that quite a lot, LOL!) I tend to dress comfy & casual and don’t do the makeup. Anyone else?
Well, when the package arrived, I decided to test it out and I have to admit that just a tiny tint of color from the lip gloss created a nice little boost in the way I was feeling. It didn’t cause me to go full gusto on the makeup, but it was nice, because I did it just for me.
By joining in the meme this week (blog about your “Moment For Me” and link to it with the Mr. Linky below or simply leave a comment telling us about it), you will be enter to win one of six Skinn by Dimitri James Wet Lips Super Shine lip gloss.
For an extra entry, Stumble this post & leave a comment letting me know.
Winners will be announced in next week’s “A Moment For Me” post.

A “just for me” moment includes a hot bath, low music and a glass of wine
My moment this week is take a bubble bath, relax with a glass or two of good wine, put on some easy listening music and dream of the good things of life.
This past week I treated myself to a facial and a massage.
My wonderful but disabled wife of more than 39 years likes to read. She saids she doesn’t hurt as bad when she loses herself in the book. Thank you for this great contest and prize. Happy Valentine’s Day!
I sat an watched a whole hour of TV without multi-tasking at anything else!
I’ve been regularly indulging in baths, even when I’m in the middle of something. If I feel like taking one, I just do.
I soaked, exfoliated and moisturized my feet using Mary Kay foot spa products I got for Christmas.
go for it
My time is a hot bubble-bath, complete with candlelight.
I ran away to the tropics
(at least for half an hour)
when I used my coconut body wash
and took a long hot shower!
My moment is when the kids go to bed and i can relax and read my gossip magazines
I had my husband take the kids to the park while I took a nice long relaxing bubble bath. A luxury I don’t get often enough. It was pure heaven!
Ive started doing yoga.
I reccommend it to everyone.
It truly is a relaxing experience.
I spent me time giving myself a facial . . . and putting LOTS of moisturizer on afterward!
I actually ran to the library and got a book, and I’m reading it.
I am in love with lip gloss and this would be perfect for me! Thanks for the chance to win!

My “me time” this week involved my husband taking charge of our six children. I went to the library and got to just “browse”. I picked up a couple of books on CD to load to my IPOD and a book to read. When I got home he loaded the kids up in the car and took them to McDonald’s for dinner and play time in play land. I stayed home and made a good start on the book. It was a GREAT day!!
I treated myself to a manicure and a pedicure.
Me time – this week. I think it is right now while surfing the internet. The hubby and kids are outside shoveling the snow. They have done our driveway and are now working on the neighbors.
My me-time involved a hot bath and the latest edition of National Geographic magazine.
My me-time this week involved making sure that I went to bed earlier than this night owl is use to doing. Its amazing what an extra couple of hours can do for the body. I’ve been more focused and productive as well having a few less late night snack runs so I think I might try it again next week.
my moment was to sit down with everyone gone and read a book.it was great and sooooooooooooo peaceful
my me time moment was when i made myself a bowl of mixed fruit and read part of my favorite maya angelou book. i’d love to have this!
Me-time involves a long soak in a bubble bath with a good book for company and NO telephones!
I went to a movie I wanted to see by myself and ate the famous combination of popcorn and Snocaps.
I get to take a long bath every night. Just me and the Hot water. Thanks family for making it happen every day!
I had a great “Me” time this week. A trip to the beauty parlor. A scalp massage, hair cut and style followed by a manicure and a pedicure. A whole day for just me!
I pampered myself by working out with my personal trainer. It feels great to be taking care of my health.
i sat in the hot tub.
I went out to eat a yummy buffet.
I went for a walk — by myself — to think and relax.
I’ve got to say I’m pretty spoiled. My hubby comes home from work and takes over with our girlie. I’ve been really blessed with at least a few minutes to get dinner ready without a clinging toddler. And..many nights he lets me just go away from the noise and relax. I do wish, however, that I’d have more time in the am to look better. It’s hard and reading about people doing this alone makes me feel so blessed.
