Will You Help?

Want to be part of an online social experiment?  That’s a twist on the question I really want to ask you. Would you be willing to spare $1 (maybe even $2?) to help the March of Dimes in their cause to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth, and infant mortality?

The online social experiment is to see how much money can be raised by spreading the word online.  You don’t have to donate a large sum to be a part – your $1 would do more good than you imagine, and you would be a part of helping a tiny, precious being live… and live healthy.

Every year, half a million babies in the U.S. are born prematurely. Premature birth is the leading cause of newborn death and many life long disabilities. The funds we raise in WalkAmerica support research that saves babies’ lives.

A bloggy-friend of mine, Amy Bair of Resourceful Mommy, had her own experience with premature labor/birth and ever since, the March of Dimes has been very dear to her heart.  She is marching this year to help raise funds for the March of Dimes, to help them do what they do, to help as many tiny lives as they possibly can.

As of this afternoon, $85 of the $5000 goal has been raised. I’ve donated. Will you?
