It turns out that today was a fun day afterall. Ironically, I’m the only one that felt I’d been hit by a truck when I woke up this morning. The guys? Feeling pretty good, actually.
Hubs & Lil Roo went earlier to pick up Halie (our pup) from Grandma’s (on Hubs side… yes, Halie has to have a babysitter too… she is obviously quite spoiled) since she stayed there overnight. While they were out, they also picked up sand. Lil Roo fell asleep on the way home and actually took about a 2 hour nap. Awesome. When he woke up, Daddy had the sand & water table we bought yesterday all set up and he was SO excited. He just loves it. “Wow. Water.” Was his very first reaction and jumped into some serious play.
When it was time to come in for dinner, he kicked up quite a fuss, but eventually calmed down and ate. After we ate and we were satisfied with the amount he ate, Daddy asked if he would like to go back outside. “Yes, sir!” he said, quickly followed by “Yay, yay, yay.” Sooo cute!

And all that was before Daddy hooked up the Elmo sprinkler!
I’m not sure how I am ever going to get any work done now, since I do not have a laptop and I’m not seeing many daylight hours spent indoors if he has anything to do with it!
The investment was more than worth it. I think this is the most excited I’ve seen him over anything in a long while. J
