Bright Green is a line of ecologically friendly products, including cleaning, laundry, light bulbs and paper products, sold exclusively at Safeway stores.
Bright Green was developed in partnership with Scientific Certification Systems (SCS), a leading third-party provider of certification, auditing and testing services and standards in environmental protection and social responsibility. SCS reviewed each Bright Green™ product for naturally derived and biodegradable ingredients, post-consumer recycled content and energy efficiency.
I had an opportunity to use Bright Green’s cleaning products and was very satisfied. The name may be new – Safeway introduced this line just this past November – but it worked just as well for me as any leading brand of cleaner, with the added benefit of being made from biodegradable and naturally derived ingredients.
The only downside for me is that unfortunately there is not a Safeway location in my area.
If you do have a Safeway in your area, be sure to sign up for Safeway’s mailing list to receive coupons via email. You can also load P&G coupons onto your Club Card.

I used Bright Green Bathroom Cleaner (and Toilet Bowl Cleaner) in my bathroom and now I have drip spots etched into my marble floor. The product does say, “For any surfaces you are unsure about, test on a small inconspicuous area first. Not suitable on raw, waxed or polished wood, carpet, fabrics and leather.”, but since it it a bathroom cleaner and did not mention a problem with marble, I was sure about my marble floor and walls. You may want to test this and revise your review of the product.
hey there – nice blog, just exploring some blogs, seems a fairly nice platform you are using. I’m currently using Wordpress
I looked up reviews about this line because the bathroom cleaner I used really bothers my nasal passages. The smell lingers and is very bitter. I switched from Fantastic to a “greener” label to get away from that gassy vapor and it seems I should just use something even milder. Any similar experiences?
