My Lil Guy Is Turning Three!

I can’t believe it.  Where has the past three years gone?  I could swear to you it was just a few weeks ago that I was sitting in his room in the glider, holding his tiny being, nursing him.  Except it hasn’t been weeks, it has been years.

He rolled over, then sat up, then crawled, then walked, and then ran.  He cooed, he said his first word, then two words together, then three, and now full sentences, and more than one phrase or sentence together and otherwise can talk non-stop if he feels like it (which can sometimes make me crazy, lol).  He learned shapes and colors (including brown and gray), he learn to count, he recently learned left and right, and is now crazy about letters (mostly thanks to WordWorld since he is crazy about that show right now).

I can’t keep up with all the new things he is learning, doing and saying each day.  And this is without an older sibling and without being around other kids a lot. I’d probably really be blown away if either of those were true, LOL!  I know this may be typical, but to me it just reinforces that he is getting older everyday.

We’ll be having his party in a couple of weeks and he will officially turn THREE on the 29th.  If I’m wondering at the time passing so quickly as he turns three, what am I going to do when he turns 16? Aye yi yi!  LOL!!

I am a grandma and I am seeing (and feeling) this all over again with my grandchildren. I have one that has turned 21 and one that has just turned 4 and six more inbetween. They grow up sooooo fast.
