Glasses Or Contacts?

I am just a little overdue for an eye exam – ok maybe a little more than a little overdue – and need to make an appointment. I also need to make dentist appointments for all three of us, a ped appointment for Lil Roo, not to mention the remainder of OB/Gyn appointments I have lined up for the next two months. So, the eye exam has basically been backburnered unfortunately. Before going in, I need to decide if I want eyeglasses or contacts.

I’ve worn both prescription glasses and contacts and found pros and cons with each. With contacts, I could wear any sunglasses instead of needing prescription, but I also have a bad tendancy to leave contacts in longer than I technically should at a time.

With glasses, there is no need to worry with contact solution or leaving contacts in too long, but with a baby on the way, glasses may prove too tempting for baby to resist grabbing them.

I’ve personally always just bought the glasses or contacts at the same time as the appointment. Since I have become a little more frugal, I am now more likely to search for contacts & glasses online to find a better deal. I’m not ready to buy right now, but I did find this 10% off deal using code mommy10 at GlassesUSA. Check out their Facebook page for updates and possibly other deals.
