I’ve been planning our trip to New York. Our road trip to New York. From Florida. With a four year old. And oh yeah… I’m seven months pregnant. This could get interesting!
During the course of our road trip, we are planning to make a stop at King’s Dominion Amusement Park in Virginia, so I am hoping to find some online coupons for it before we go to save a few bucks off the ticket price. We also want to hit up the Smithsonian Air / Space Museum and The National Zoo, both in Washington, DC (and both are free, can’t beat that!). Normally for vacas, I check out Expedia and Orbitz coupon and deals, but since we are driving and mostly staying with family on this trip, I didn’t really need to this time.
For me though, most vacas are somewhat working vacas. There are things I have to keep up with and certain things that still need to be done, even while away. This means the laptop scores high on the must pack list, along with all the required accessories – like the power cord / charger that I’ve now lost and need to replace; and the DC to AC power inverter for the vehicle that I’ve just discovered stopped working. I usually go online for those kinds of purchases, since I get the best deals that way and computer related coupons (like Dell Promo Codes) are available.
Between having a four year old, being very pregnant, and allowing for working conditions, packing and planning for a 16-18 hour road trip – each way! – can get a little tricky (plus, there’s the husband, heehee), but in the end it is all worth it!
