Rainforest Trail Mix

Whether as a fun treat or incorporating as part of an educational unit on The Rainforest, the Rainforest Trail Mix is super easy to make.  Make a larger batch and put in snack size zip-close bags for a snack that is easy to grab and eat – for you or the kids!

All ingredients are products of the Rainforest: bananas, coconut, raisins, peanuts, and chocolate.

I originally came across the idea for this snack here, and added the banana chips.

I love making little dried mixes for the kids, they’re always so much better than the pre-packed ones …. & cheaper.

Healthy, nutritious and affordable are to consider when preparing snacks for kids, and most of all easily done!
