This past week was pretty busy and though I was able to scope out a few mi
utes here and there, I don’t really have a “moment” to tell ya about… I plan to schedule my spa day soon though, so that will def make up for this past week!
How did you carve out a moment for yourself this past week?
Ah… I am enjoying some “me time” right now.Laundry is going, dishes are soaking in the sink (and will continue to wait patiently until my “me time” is complete), Lil Roo is down for a nap, I am enjoying some lunch, a soft rain fall, I’ve lit a heavenly candle (that I just have to tell you about!) and I am basking in the quietness of this moment. {And thinking about the awesome “me time” I am going to have when I head off for some pampering thanks to my birthday gift from Hubs yesterday. Now to just coordinate with his schedule so he can and Lil Roo can have daddy-son time while I get my pampering!}
When this scrumptious candle arrived in the mail, I didn’t know whether to eat it or burn it.It looks like a real pie – yum!It is a 3” pecan pie candle from Simone’s Country Candles and smells wonderful even when it is not burning. They have all sorts of cakes, pies, misc pastries, and even milkshakes. If you like to include candles as part of your pampering moments {or for any purpose}, you are going to love these. They would also make fun birthday (they have birthday cakes of course!) and Valentines Day gifts.
So.. tell me about you and your week. Were you able to get in some time to yourself to relax, get pampered, do something you enjoy?Dish it! I want to hear all about it, so blog about it and link it up or use the comments section.
It is time again to take a moment an report in about how you took a moment for yourself – to pamper, to relax, etc – this past week. For me, a time or two this past week, I took my son’s naptime and just relaxed. Typically, I try to get a little extra work in since I’m less distracted and not up and down. Admittedly, I didn’t get as much done, but it felt great.
How {and what} did you do?Post about it on your blog and link back here or share in the comments.
In last week’s “A Moment For Me” we had a sweet little giveaway of
Hi there!Busy day today, so this is a little late getting posted. I’ll make it up to ya though with a little giveaway.Read on for details. J
How was your week?Did you remember to take some time to do something special for yourself (read a book, get your nails done, relax)?
This past week, I took a small step to fight the frump, courtesy of a little dab of lip gloss. I got a sweet little package a few days ago and inside were a couple of tubes of Skinn by Dimitri James Wet Lips Super Shine lip gloss. I have to admit, when I’m just hanging around the house (and as a stay-at-home / work-at-home mom I do that quite a lot, LOL!) I tend to dress comfy & casual and don’t do the makeup. Anyone else?
Well, when the package arrived, I decided to test it out and I have to admit that just a tiny tint of color from the lip gloss created a nice little boost in the way I was feeling. It didn’t cause me to go full gusto on the makeup, but it was nice, because I did it just for me.
By joining in the meme this week (blog about your “Moment For Me” and link to it with the Mr. Linky below or simply leave a comment telling us about it), you will be enter to win one of six Skinn by Dimitri James Wet Lips Super Shine lip gloss.

Holidays, cross-country vacation, and an uber hectic December, forced the “A Moment For Me” feature to take a mini-hiatus. But, it is back. And looking for you. Because, let’s face it: You are busy & don’t often take time for yourself. And, you made a few resolutions (that links to mine), even if you didn’t speak them out loud, about things you may like to improve.
Jessica Knows shared a little bit about Me Time a little bit ago. It is a good read & a reminder of how important it is to take a little time for ourselves.
If you are new to the “A Moment For Me” meme, the idea is very simple. It is a weekly encouragement to do something a little special, take a moment just for you sometime during the week, then come here each Monday and share it. You can post about it on your blog and link to it, or you can leave a comment and share. Then, visit the posts and respond to the comments and encourage each other.
My moment this past week was taking time out to read. I haven’t done it in what feels like ages, but is something I want to dedicate more time to doing. It required slowing down and was truly a wonderful moment, even if it didn’t last very long. I want to have more of those reading moments.
How was your week? What did you do to take a little time for yourself?
Thank you for stopping by the “A Moment For Me” meme. A Moment For Me is all about encouraging you to stop neglecting yourself. It is important that we take moments to do something we enjoy, something that is relaxing, something to pampers ourselves, etc.You are encouraged to find a few moments in your week, do a little something for yourself, then share it to encourage others. It can be 5 minutes or a weekend at the spa – the length of time doesn’t matter – just as long as you make sure that YOU do not get lost in the shuffle of everyday life.
My “moment” this past week came unexpectedly Friday evening. I had tons of stuff that really needed to be done, especially with our trip on Tuesday, but I was quite tired and actually allowed myself to lie down, even to sleep if it happened. Now, for the sake of transparency, I really was not anticipating STAYING asleep!I’m a night owl and have been struggling with the desire to go to bed early but not actually doing it, LOL!Well, I drifted off (I’m guessing it was around 8:30 / 9:00 or so) and the next thing I know, I hear Lil’ Roo stirring at 5 am!It didn’t last, thankfully… until 7 then again at 8 when we both got up.I couldn’t believe I actually slept that long!It was wonderful!!
What about you? What was your “Moment” this past week?
Happy Monday! Happy December! Happy Cyber Monday! It is a new day, a new week, a new month… Lots of things going on today & getting started today & I’ll be telling you about some of them shortly… but first… let’s take a look back at the past week.I imagine it was very hectic for most of my U.S. readers with the Thanksgiving holiday (preparations before and cleanup / recoup time after including Christmas décor being pulled out I’m sure helped eat up a good chunk of the week!).
I didn’t do anything extra-special as one of those moments this past week, but something I try to do on a regular basis for “me-time” is late in the evening, when the entire house is quiet (minus the cat that just came in and decided she is starving. to. death. And must be fed immediately, regardless if she ate 15 minutes earlier), is catch up on a program or two I’ve TIVO’d.
Were you able to take a moment just for you this past week?Do you have any regular rituals that allows you a little “me time”?Link up your post or tell us about it in the comments. Also, think ahead to the upcoming week & what you can do to take a moment to pamper yourself.
We are often pulled in so many directions, and juggle so many responsibilities, that we don’t often take those moments just for ourselves. This meme was created to encourage you to take a few minutes (longer if you can!) and do something you enjoy, something to relax, and/or something to pamper yourself.Blog about it and link up your post or leave a comment. You are invited to use the comments section to encourage each other.
A couple of days ago I treated myself to a very warm bubble bath & masque. It was simple, but wonderful.
What did you do this past week to take a moment for yourself, to relax or indulge in a little pampering?
I’m sure it hasn’t escaped your notice that the hours in a day tick by rather quickly, then the week becomes a month… and that chances are good you may not have taken very many moments to truly take care of “you”, to give yourself a little extra pampering or just some “me time”.
There are so many responsibilities to juggle: home, marriage, kids, work (outside the home, working from home, being a domestic engineer, managing online interests, etc), and so on.
The day can be half over (or more) and you may stop to think if you have eaten anything. Never mind taking enough time out of your busy schedule to pencil in that session of “me time”.
But, what if we DID pencil that time in? What if we did make a concerted effort to do a little something special for ourselves during the week? I challenge you to do just that!
I’m starting a new meme for us to encourage each other to take a few moments each week as “me time”.Curl up and read; take a relaxing bubble bath; get your nails done; the ideas are endless and can vary based on your personality and what relaxes you or beings you enjoyment (or both!).
The first “A Moment For Me” will be posted tomorrow and they will continue every Monday. To join in, you can either post to your blog & link via the Mr. Linky or you can leave a comment. You are also welcome to share “pamper” goals for the upcoming week.Feel free to peruse the comments each week and encourage each other.
